New Mexico

New Mexico became a state in 1912. Physically it is noted for being the southern end of the Rocky Mountains, bordering Mexico to the south.   NM economy is highly diversified, including cattle ranching, agriculture, lumber and technology research, tourism and the arts.  Per the Census statistics for 2020, NM has a total population of 2,117,522 people of which 1,402,249 (2019) live in incorporated places (source: US Census Bureau 2010-19 data).
