Saguache, CO

Observations:  While on a spring break roadtrip west toward Durango, we happened to notice first this pretty church with a bright red door and then a fresh sign for the town of Saguache. So on a whim decided to turn into the town and check it out - even though we generally focus on towns over 1000 population.  We were super impressed with the main street shops, most of which looked renovated with active businesses.

When i researched on-line later, i found a video entitled "Community Partnerships: Saguache, CO and learned about the Colorado Trust, which is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring all Coloradans have the opportunity to thrive. 

To support its mission, it offers community grants for local community projects 

This guide was created in its present form as part of the Saguache Downtown Revitalization Project (SDRP), which is a partnership between the town of Saguache and the ScSeed non-profit organization, which is focused on the four pillars of 1) civic & social connections, 2) compatible economic development, 3) agricultural & environmental conservation, and 4) education & enrichment.
